We cherished love
The hippies their lids

Time passed quickly
Jesus aged as I did
He wasn’t the guy

I returned to the scriptures
Were they always this glib?
It was never as simple
As I thought as a kid.

The Nazi’s were an anathema
Dictators? Undid
Things were quite different
When I was a kid.

Now Republican Jesus
Sells us out for a quid
That’s not what I’d figured
When I was a kid.

OMG! They Killed Jesus !!

This helps explain why Huckabee granted the guy clemency in the first place. How could he possibly deny a pardon to someone so enraptured?

Update: Jesus is not confirmed dead. He is on the loose. Consider him armed and very dangerous.

Besides the fact that Huckabee seems inclined to pardon any inmate who sees Jesus in his toast, the system of bail in this country is obviously whacked. The court system contributed mightily to this tragedy by letting him out of jail awaiting trial on child rape and arson.

I wonder if those in the criminal justice system might find some solace in the fact that Tommy Chong actually did hard time for the manufacture of glassware?
