Political Playtime

I figured I would take a short break from my hectic schedule of trying to rebuild my life from scratch to do a little political blogging.  We’re on the cusp of a Presidential election cycle and there’s a ton of stuff going on that needs sorting out.  So let’s get to sorting.

Sy Hersh

I believe him.  What he says makes perfect sense in context with what went down and the fact that the ‘mainstream’ media is piling on Hersh just adds more credibility to what he’s saying.  I can’t remember the last time mainstream media got anything right on issues of the Middle East since at least the New York Times Judith Miller reach-around.  It’s not like he’s saying anything that doesn’t fit exactly within the pattern of a longstanding pattern of Osama Bin Laden protectionism.  You can just see the Saudi’s tossing bundles of money at Pakistan to keep him under wraps and protected.  The only part I’m curious about at all is whether or not we knew he was there all along and Obama finally agreed to payoff whoever needed to be paid off to let us fly in there and take him out.

Invasion of Texas

The sooner the better IMHO. That said, isn’t it now patently obvious that the state which gave us George Bush is about as dedicated to supporting the military of this country as Jeb Bush is to being an honest politician?  The speed at which these numbskulls can go from flag waving patriots to secessionist blowhards is mind numbing.  Expect an “army” of mobility-assisted Medicare seniors to attempt to recreate a scene from Red Dawn in a couple of months when the US military goes to Texas for training.  You’ll want to stock up on gold and seed stock.  Argh.  Go Wolverines!

Bernie Sanders

He’s been saying the same thing for years.  Doesn’t change his position from week to week or news cycle to news cycle.  The people’s candidate.  Don’t let anyone tell you he can’t be elected.  We elected an unknown Black guy president and then re-elected him.  Bernie Sanders is a shoo-in.  I wonder if Hillary would be interested in the vice-presidency?   Go Bernie!

Black People

jesusLovesHipHop

Black people are pissed.  If you were Black you’d be pissed too.  How about reigning in the out of control police state and prison industrial complex and give our minority citizens a break?  And don’t tell me how slavery ended hundreds of years ago or that Black folks aren’t being continuously harassed and discriminated daily.  Now they’re being accused of turning the country atheist.  If it’s true I’m glad for their support but O’Reilly is just trying to tar and feather the Black folks with everything he envisions as evil.  The country would be a helluva lot better off if Black folks actually were turning to secularism instead of wasting their time and money supporting fake ass preachers looking to buy fifty million dollar Lear Jets.

Jeb Bush

Iraq.  Does he or doesn’t he?  Only his pollster knows for sure.  What kind of mental midget with the last name of Bush is going to think he has a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the presidency?  Only one whose last name is Bush.   FFS.  There must be a fund raising bonanza or a tax break involved for him to put himself through this much humiliation.

Enjoy.

What’s The Matter?

How Much Does it Matter?

Society For the Preservation of Matter

It’s a rather tiny amount of ‘ordinary matter”‘ that actually consists of everything we’d normally associate with being “everything” there is in the universe. Point zero three percent to be exact.  We know absolutely nothing about the ninety six percent of “something else” which dominates our universe yet leaves no trace.

Michio Kaku readily concedes that we don’t even have a full picture of the diminutive .03% speck of matter we can detect and examine.  The knowledge we glean in the atomic world comes at a huge price and destroys the very type of matter we need to survive, the abundance of which is admitted to be in exceedingly short supply by the very people who want to go on annihilating as much of it as they can!!

Gaming the Gamergate GangSistas

Appended to add: I am not for harassing or raping anyone and if you’re doing that you’re no friend of mine. That said, for all the ongoing and constant rapity rape rape rape  claims and overly sensitive threat assessment tactics from the delicate flowers of gamer feminism (or atheismplus) I’ve yet to see one actual police report in support (evidence?).  If there was one police report or actual attempted rape for every 50,000 words spewed by these WATB, it would be a different story.  I’m just dam tried of their grabbing the stage and using it to promote self serving balderdash.

Yesterday I reposted a comment on my blog that I had dropped on a website trumpeting an ability to mock and track the “new” misogyny!  I used the opportunity to express my thoughts on (the ginned up) “gamer gate” controversy.  It was received with the usual (expected) mix of ad hominem malarky and knee-jerk bile.  What the replies lacked in total were any honest attempts at refuting the issues I leveled. There were plenty of feminist keyboard warriors who found the time to partake in my metaphorical stoning while simultaneously love bombing each other. This is a technique borrowed from religious cults and bolsters the mind-lock within the clammy confines of their heavily bunkered internet silos.

It’s not like I don’t have other things to tend to, but I do find the Gamergate brouhaha to be at least as interesting a time-waster as FarmVille or Bejeweled.  It’s “CoffeeGate” all over again.  Get out the porn and potato chips.  This is going to be another doozy.

Marginalizing Naomi Wolf

Naomi Wolf Insane or Prescient?

Insane or Insanely Prescient?

Naomi Wolf has the talking heads all atwitter at her suggestion that the televised ISS beheadings are nothing more than agitprop by the powers that be to fool a gullible US public into continuing the mideast folly Bush began.  I’m not sure she’s even serious in the charge so much as she’s pointing out there’s not been any real journalistic honesty on all matters pertaining to the situation in Iraq stretching back to the era of Bush’s propaganda machine and their fake WMD causus belli.

That charge is too difficult to refute and embarrassing for those who acted as cheerleaders for the disaster and it’s inconvenient for them to consider.  The guys and gals acting as puppets on behalf of the oligarchs are paid those huge salaries for their pretty hair and white teeth, not their mental acumen or journalist ability or integrity. Their bosses have no intention of spending money getting the “inside scoop” on anything other than Miley Cyrus’ cooch.

Harmonic Therapy

Bazoo Headphones

Bye Bye Bazoo.  Sorry to have drowned you!

I like to listen to music as a form of harmonic therapy in the best of times and circumstance. I even melded my love of electronics and music into a profession.  Because I’ve got so much of the music in me, music is much more than just a small comfort to me at this particularly stressful time.

“Kick Ass” Coffee

The other night, after a long session of listening to my favorite #timtunes, I managed to set the right earpiece of my aging, yet beloved Bazoo bluetooth headphones into an abandoned cup of coffee sitting next to me here at my workstation.  I didn’t even notice at the time and it spent the night soaking in stagnant coffee. The next morning I unconsciouslyI reached over, picked them up, and placed them on my head before noticing my idiocy.  It’s enough to make an old man fear he might be going crazy. I will refrain from recounting the feeling of placing that dripping, coffee-saturated foam pad on my ear.  I had a pretty good run with my Bazoos.  As audiophile headphones they were just barely adequate, but compared to the limited selection of audiophile bluetooth headphones available three or four years ago when I got them, they were above average.
